Daylit is a private, on-device journaling app. Your journal belongs to you, and only you. This policy explains — in plain language — exactly how Daylit handles your information.
Nothing. Daylit has no account system, no servers, and makes no network requests. Your entries, photos, mood analysis, and settings are stored only on your device. We have no way to see, access, or receive any of your data.
Mood (sentiment) scoring and keyword extraction are performed entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device NaturalLanguage framework. No text, photo, or analysis result is ever uploaded or transmitted.
The optional "AI Insights" unlock is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Daylit never sees your payment details. Purchases are subject to Apple's terms.
Daylit contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
You can export all of your data as Markdown or JSON at any time from Settings. Deleting the app permanently removes all of your data from your device. An optional passcode and Face ID keep your journal private.
Daylit does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
